Requirements
For firms that have filed a preliminary report, taxable period spans from Oct. 1 to Dec. 31, 2024; for those that have not filed a report, it is from Jul. 1 until Dec. 31. 2024.
Taxpayers may file a report online via Hometax/Sontax, without visiting a tax office.
Support Measures
The reporting period will be automatically set according to taxpayers' reporting type and taxation type when they log into Hometax; taxpayers can make good use of a tax secretary service that supports them in filling out the report in a simple Q&A format.
SK Tax will assist taxpayers for VAT declaration with 24-hour AI consultation services.
Pay refunds earlier by Feb. 7, or by Feb. 18 for general refunds to exporters/SMEs filing a refund report by Jan. 31, 2025, regardless of the extended filing/payment deadline.
Where a business operator experiencing management difficulties due to a disaster applies for deadline extension, the deadline will be extended up to nine months.
For victims/bereaved families of the Jeju Air accident, SK Tax will provide ex officio payment deadline extension, early payment of refunds, filing deadline extension.
