Overview
Person that procures or places upon record real estate conveyance in order to deceive is guilty of a felony punishable by not more than 3 years and/or no more than $5k fine
A person who intentionally drafts/submits false documents to register of deeds to defraud is guilty of a felony punishable by no more than 10 years, and or a $5k fine.
If the register of deeds believes a document was submitted in violation of this section, they may provide evidence of the violation to the county prosecutor in their county.
