Executive Order
Executive Order builds upon reform efforts of Office of Regulatory Management (ORM).
Order directs agencies to eliminate obsolete approvals; include approvals involving multiple steps on Virginia Permit Transparency (VPT) permitting dashboard.
Reduce the number and complexity of approvals through streamlining; and digitize and enhance the user experience for the approval application process.
Agency Directives
Beginning on Dec. 13, 2024, each State agency must file a report with the ORM.
Report information for each type of approval and processing times for streamlining.
Agencies will produce a report of low volume approvals to be considered for elimination
All qualifying approvals must be incorporated into VPT, no later than Apr. 30, 2025.
The ORM will provide the agencies with standardized forms to conduct reporting.
Agencies shall report on their achievements by Jan. 31, 2025 and quarterly thereafter.
