UK LSE TRADEcho Cloud Migration


On Aug. 27, UK LSE issued customer development service (CDS) note.


  • UK LSE issued a Service Announcement entitled TRADEcho Cloud Migration – Customer Development Service (CDS) & Production Reminder, on the move to TRADEcho Cloud.
  • Announcement Overview
  • The announcement follows communication made within Announcement 001/08072024.
  • FIX APA & SRR customers are reminded they need to make network changes to allow cloud migration, while customers with TRADEcho GUI access must ensure their email associated with User ID is up to date, to ensure smooth transition for CDS and Cloud.
  • TRADEcho Cloud is available in CDS for customer testing and all FIX & GUI users are now advised to perform full functional testing before Customer Dress Rehearsal (CDR).
  • In addition, a TCP Responder is available for customers to test connectivity to the cloud FIX Production Gateways, and all of the FIX APA & SRR customers are now required to perform the required successful telnet tests prior to first Customer Dress Rehearsal.
  • Customers are strongly advised to understand TRADEcho Cloud Migration – Customer Quick Guide to CDS & Production Readiness to understand what is required from a testing perspective prior to the cut over date from the TRADEcho on-prem solution.
  • FIX APA/SRR and TRADEcho GTP Customers will all also need to review the TRADEcho Cloud Connectivity Guide, in order to understand what they must do at network level.
  • TRADEcho Cloud project will be upgraded in two phased approach to smooth transition.

  • Effectiveness
  • The Production Go-Live date is set at Nov. 4, 2024, with the CDR starting Oct. 5, 2024.
  • Sep. 2024 Go-Live Implementation Postponed
  • On Sep. 27, 2024, UK LSE said that the Go-Live date is postponed to Feb. 3, 2025.
  • The roadmap of activities preceding the go-live is being reviewed and rescheduled, including the Customer Dress Rehearsal of Oct. 5, 2024 which is being cancelled.
  • The new schedule of CDRs will be announced in due course.
  • Dec. 3, 2024 TRADEcho Release
  • On Dec. 3, 2024, UK LSE issued service announcement to confirm deployment of latest TRADEcho release on Cloud CDS environment, v 1.1.15.0, effective on Dec. 9, 2024.
  • Functional release includes TRADEcho Cloud GUI CSV Upload & download reactivated and backward compatible and customers can download TRADEcho Cloud specifications.
  • Customers are reminded to register for the mandatory Customer Dress Rehearsal (CDR) taking place on Jan. 11 and Jan. 18, 2025, with TRADEcho Cloud go live is scheduled for Feb. 3, 2025.
  • Jan. 2025 Customer Dress Rehearsal
  • On Jan. 6, 2025, UK LSE published a Service Announcement, further to announcement 001/09102024, to provide customers with additional information about the Customer Dress Rehearsals (CDRs) for TRADEcho Cloud, as a part of the migration processes.
  • These are scheduled for Saturdays Jan. 11, 2025 (CDR 1) and Jan. 18, 2025 (CDR 2).
  • Customers are strongly advised to attend at least one CDR, and all of the customers interested in attending must register with the Technical Account Management team.
  • The purpose of this Dress Rehearsal is to provide an opportunity for customers to perform connectivity and functional testing in the new Production TRADEcho Cloud environment prior to the planned on-prem to Cloud cutover, on Monday Feb. 3, 2025.
  • New GUI login process is detailed within the new TRADEcho Cloud Migration Customer Quick Guide to CDS & Production Readiness Guide, which will help all users to login.
  • Customers will be able to test aspects of TRADEcho Cloud and trade reporting activity will be generated in test to generate data to assist in testing Group Ticker Plant (GTP).
  • No trade reports submitted during these CDRs will not be processed downstream by TRADEcho and any data received during the CDR should be discarded by customers, and this includes FIX Messages, End of Day (EOD) reports and CSV Feedback files.
  • During CDR, customers must report any technical issues to the Client Support Team for investigation, and at end, customers are required to confirm success of their testing.
  • Jan. 9, 2025 CDR 1 Update
  • On Jan. 9, 2025, UK LSE issued service announcement following 002/06012025, with additional information on TRADEcho Cloud migration CDR 1, scheduled Jan. 11, 2025.
  • For customers participating in CDR activity TRADEcho Cloud Failover from PDC to SDC, a FIX sequence number reset will be required upon logging into the SDC FIX gateway.
  • Customers accessing the new TRADEcho Cloud GUI will need a password reset on first-time logon due to the new multi-factor authentication (MFA) process; details are in the TRADEcho cloud migration customer quick guide to CDS & production readiness.
  • During CDR and from go live (Feb. 3, 2025), customers can access 1 year of historical data; those wishing to access more such data can do so via TRADEcho on-prem GUI.
