On Aug. 13, SK FSC, FSS said to refund commissions to merchants.
SK FSC, SK FSS said eligible small and medium-sized credit card merchants entitled to preferential commission rates, and this is effective retroactively from Jan. 1. 2024.
New credit card merchants opened in H1 2024 were subject to the general merchant commission rate, however, preferential commission rate applies to small merchants.
The eligibility of those micro and small merchants is confirmed by national tax data.
Preferential rate is applied retroactively; the commission difference will be refunded.
The preferential commission rate also applied to PG sub-merchants that accept card payments through PG companies as, well as 166,000 taxi operators accepting cards.
Effectiveness
Refund details will be available from Sep. 27, 2024.
