Eligibility
Public assistance federal funding available to State, tribal, eligible local governments.
Certain private nonprofit organizations on cost-sharing basis for emergency work, repair or replacement of facilities damaged by the severe winter storm and flooding.
In Blaine, Chouteau, Fergus, Hill, Judith Basin, Petroleum, Pondera, Teton, Toole and Wheatland counties, Rocky Boy's Indian Reservation, Fort Belknap Indian Community.
Federal funding is also available on cost-sharing basis for hazard mitigation measures.
SBA Private Nonprofit Aid
SBA provided low-interest federal disaster loans to MT private nonprofit organizations.
Private nonprofits that provide essential services of a governmental nature are eligible.
FEMA will determine if private nonprofit provides essential governmental service and is critical facility as defined by law; may provide nonprofit with public assistance grant.
Encourages all private nonprofit organizations to apply with SBA for assistance.
SBA may lend private nonprofits up to $2mn to repair or replace damaged or destroyed real estate, machinery and equipment, inventory and other business assets.
Can also lend additional funds to help with the cost of mitigation improvements.
For certain private nonprofit organizations of any size, SBA offers economic injury disaster loans (EIDL) to help with meeting working capital needs caused by disaster.
