On May 29, SWE FI confirmed AIFMD reporting is changing systems.
SWE FI announced that reporting for alternative investment funds regarding all fund managers (AIFM) and associated funds (AIF) must be submitted via the Fidac system.
Reporting Changes
The reporting in Fidac takes place in the same way as previously in Periodic reporting system by uploading an xml file, with xml files all created using the xml schema that is unchanged from previous reporting systems, and are all available on ESMA's website.
Test Reporting and Login
Test reporting is possible from beginning of June via the Fidac Test reporting option in reporting portal, but SWE FI will not be able to answer questions during the summer.
Login and authorization management takes place via portal, as with previous reporting.
People who already have authorization for periodic reporting in the reporting portal will have access to Fidac, and live reporting will be available via Fidac, in reporting portal.
Effectiveness
The changed reporting requirements will apply from reference date of Sep. 30, 2024.
