On May 28, LUX CSSF reminded PRIIPs firms to review KID annually.
LUX CSSF reminded Luxembourg UCITS, UCITS management companies of obligation for packaged retail and insurance-based investment products (PRIIPs) manufacturers to review key information document (KID) min. every 12 months after 1st publication.
PRIIPs regulation 1286/2014, as amended, and its supplementing measures, including EU CMSN delegated regulation 2017/653, require manufacturers of packaged retail, insurance-based investment products (PRIIPs) to review information in the key information document (KID) at least every 12 months following initial publication date.
Since Jan. 1, 2023, UCITS available to retail investors qualify as PRIIPs for which a KID is required pursuant to the PRIIPs regulation; LUX CSSF reminded Luxembourg UCITS, UCITS management firms of aforementioned review requirement for the year 2024.
Also referred to related ESA guidance in consolidated KID FAQs, in particular question 8 of Section VII on past performance; and referred to LUX CSSF FAQs concerning the Luxembourg Law of Dec. 17, 2010 relating to undertakings for collective investment.
Aug. 2024 Reporting Transmission Reminder
On Aug. 21, 2024, LUX CSSF reminded of new mode of transmission of key information documents (KID) and official documents (MR/AI) that will start on Nov. 15, 2024.
Documents will be collected exclusively through document upload via the dedicated eDesk procedure or automated submission of the documents via API (S3 protocol).
