Designates Luxembourg Institute for Standardization, Accreditation, Safety and Quality of Products and Services (ILNAS) as the national contact point for the safety gate.
ILNAS powers provided for in Regs 2023/988 and 2019/1020 on market surveillance and compliance of products, amends Dir 2004/42 and Regs 765/2008 and 305/2011.
Provides for effective, proportionate and dissuasive penalties in the event of non-compliance with the new obligations incumbent on the respective economic actors.
Effectiveness
This law shall enter into force on the twentieth day following that of its publication in the Official Journal of the European Union; it is applicable from Dec. 13, 2024.
