On Apr. 17, TAI DCC notified of first off-site backup drill of 2024.
TAI DCC will conduct first off-site backup drill for the securities depository system, and also participate in TAI EXC's centralized market off-site backup market simulation test.
Backup Drill
Participants are asked to download detailed information from TAI DCC's website re the drill, and requested to select a connection unit to join the remote backup drill from.
After drill, participants should compile results into a document, fax it back to TAI DCC.
Effectiveness
The test is scheduled for May 5, 2024.
Apr. 23, 2024 Backup Drill for Bills
On Apr. 23, 2024, TAI DCC announced first off-site backup drill for the year, for the bills custody, clearing and settlement mechanism; drill is scheduled for May 18, 2024.
Participants must re-enter transaction data from May 17 to test system, connection validity; drill will be conducted using the full market-wide remote backup testing mode.
If there were no actual transactions on May 17, participation in the drill is not required.
Aims to verify emergency switching capabilities, enhance system security, efficiency.
Guidelines provided for participants, including using backup environments, simulating delayed disconnect scenarios; detailed information available on the TAI DCC website.
Oct. 2024 Second Drill
On Oct. 18, 2024, TAI DCC announced second off-site backup drill for the year, for the bills custody, clearing and settlement mechanism; drill is scheduled for Nov. 16, 2024.
Custodian banks shall use off-site backup environment; other participants will maintain their current settings and perform verification tests using existing connection models.
