SBA Disaster Aid GA Drought Victims


On Apr. 2, SBA made disaster aid available to Georgia drought victims.


  • SBA made Economic injury disaster loans (EIDLs) available in Georgia too small businesses and residents impacted by the drought that began on Dec. 15, 2023.
  • Eligibility
  • Primary GA counties of Bartow, Chattooga, Cherokee, Dawson, Fannin, Floyd, Gilmer, Gordon, Habersham, Lumpkin, Murray, Pickens, Rabun, Towns, Union, White, Whitfield.
  • Neighboring GA counties of Banks, Catoosa, Cobb, Forsyth, Fulton, Hall, Paulding, Polk, Stephens, and Walker, and counties in ALA, NC, SC, and TN as listed in press release.
  • EIDLs up to $2 million are available to eligible farm-related and nonfarm-related entities that suffered financial losses as a direct result of this drought disaster.
  • These working capital loans may be used to pay fixed debts, payroll, accounts payable, and other bills that could have been paid had the disaster not occurred.
  • Deadline
  • Completed EIDL applications must be submitted to the SBA by Nov. 25, 2024.
