SBA Michigan Excessive Rain Disaster


On Feb. 21, SBA made disaster aid available to Michigan businesses.


  • SBA made Economic injury disaster loans (EIDLs) available to Michigan businesses as a result of excessive rain that occurred during the period Jul. 13 through Sep. 1, 2023.
  • Eligibility
  • EIDLs are available in Michigan for small businesses, agricultural cooperatives, businesses engaged in aquaculture, and most private nonprofits with economic losses.
  • Low-interest disaster loans are available in the Michigan counties of Bay, Genesee, Gratiot, Huron, Lapeer, Midland, Saginaw, Sanilac, Shiawassee, St. Clair, and Tuscola.
  • Available to eligible farm-related and nonfarm-related firms suffering financial losses.
  • These working capital loans may be used to pay fixed debts, payroll, accounts payable, and other bills that could have been paid had the disaster not occurred to them.
  • Application Deadline
  • Completed applications must be submitted to SBA no later than Oct. 15, 2024.
