On Feb. 16, SBA reported economic injury aid available in California.
SBA reported that Economic injury disaster loans (EIDLs) are available to California small businesses in certain areas affected by Hurricane Hilary on Aug. 19-20, 2023.
Eligibility
Primary county is Kern, with aid also available in adjacent counties of Inyo, Kings, Los Angeles, San Bernardino, San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara, Tulare and Ventura.
Small nonfarm businesses, agricultural cooperatives, businesses engaged in aquaculture, and most private nonprofits may qualify for EIDLs up to $2 million.
Aid is intended to help meet financial obligations and operating expenses which could have been met by the victim companies had the California disaster not occurred.
Application Deadline
The deadline to apply for economic injury disaster assistance is Oct. 15, 2024.
