  • Modified the Utah Commercial Email Act (Act) to change the definition of Utah email address; modified provisions regarding prohibited uses of commercial email in Utah.
  • Prohibited uses include sending email with a third-party's name without permission.
  • Sending commercial email that has false, misrepresented, forged header data.
  • In addition, prohibits the use of misleading subject lines about a material fact regarding the advertiser, the contents, or the subject matter of the commercial email.
