Overview
Bulletin allows TN INS to receive policy data from non-admitted insurers so that it can reconcile the data and ensure more accurate reporting of surplus lines business in TN.
Department requests that all state non-admitted insurers submit the data outlined in the bulletin re surplus lines insurance policies from calendar year 2024 and onward.
The requested data is necessary to reconcile the premiums written by non-admitted insurance companies with the premiums reported to Tennessee by non-admitted filers.
For data re premiums written for policies effective in 2024, TN INS requests that non-admitted insurers submit information through Surplus Lines Information Portal (SLIP).
Deadlines
Foreign non-admitted insurers writing business should submit requested information by Mar. 31, 2025, for policies that are effective Jan. 1, 2024, through Dec. 31, 2024.
Alien non-admitted insurers should submit data by Jun. 30 of each year for date re preceding year; and policies effective from 2025 should report per enclosed schedule.
