  • SBA made available Economic injury disaster loans (EIDLs) to Hawaii small businesses.
  • Eligibility
  • EIDLs available in Honolulu, Kauai Counties due to drought beginning Sep. 26., 2023.
  • Small nonfarm businesses, agricultural cooperatives, businesses engaged in aquaculture and most private nonprofits may qualify for EIDLs of up to $2 million.
  • EIDLs are intended to help businesses meet financial obligations and operating expenses which could have been met had the disaster not occurred.
  • Eligibility is based on financial impact of the disaster and not on any actual damage.
  • Application Deadline
  • Completed applications for EIDLs must be submitted by Jul. 22, 2024.
