On Jul. 31, RUS CB proposed ord amending digital ruble accounting.
RUS CB proposed ordinance amending regulation 803-P on the Chart of Accounts for non-credit financial institutions, credit bureaus, credit rating agencies and the procedure for its application.
Consultation documents are only available on RUS CB website until comment deadline.
The ord aims to establish a separate accounting account for digital RUB held by non-banking financial firms, credit bureaus, credit rating agencies, and other users.
The ordinance was developed in line with entry into force of law 340-FZ amending certain acts of the Russian Federation, which enters into force on Aug. 1, 2023.
Effectiveness
The ordinance is expected to enter into force on Jan. 1, 2025 and comments and feedback are expected by Aug. 13, 2023.
Feb. 2028 Ordinance Issued
On Feb. 19, 2024, RUS CB issued ord 6665-U amending reg 803-P which enters into force from Jan. 25, 2025.
