Banks/MFBs are advised to update their Standard Operating Procedure (SoPs) to prescribe and standardize inter alia installation points of CCTVs, within ATM vestibules.
CCTVs, installed in ATM vestibules, must record users’ activities with facial recognition to enable law enforcement agencies to conduct investigations in case of incidents.
Banks/MFBs, within 1 month of issuance of this circular, shall update aforesaid SoPs, ensure deployment of CCTVs as prescribed, submit a copy of compliance certificate.
Banks/MFBs thereafter on continual basis must maintain, at centralized location, monthly record of operational status of CCTVs and compliance certifies that CCTVs.
