On Dec. 30, 2024, ARG CB published Communication A 8162 in the official gazette.

ARG CB issued Cir SINAP 1-224, Communication A 8162 re payment accreditation.
Highlights
Applicable to financial institutions, payment service providers, prepaid card issuers.
Maximum period for accrediting the amount of each sale made will be 2 business days.
Counted from the consumption date by the holder or beneficiary of the prepaid card.
The sub-acquirers may not exceed 1 business day from the reception of the funds.
To credit the amount to the account in the supplier's or affiliated business's name.
Fees charged no longer need to be the same for each activity or commercial category.
Account statements must include details on transactions and settlements delivered.
If messaging enables digital wallet identification, they must use it for each transaction.
Effectiveness
Communication A 8162 will come into force for payments made as of Aug. 1, 2025.
For businesses classified as SMEs, it will come into force on Mar. 1, 2025.
