  • ARG CB issued Cir SINAP 1-224, Communication A 8162 re payment accreditation.
  • Highlights
  • Applicable to financial institutions, payment service providers, prepaid card issuers.
  • Maximum period for accrediting the amount of each sale made will be 2 business days.
  • Counted from the consumption date by the holder or beneficiary of the prepaid card.
  • The sub-acquirers may not exceed 1 business day from the reception of the funds.
  • To credit the amount to the account in the supplier's or affiliated business's name.
  • Fees charged no longer need to be the same for each activity or commercial category.
  • Account statements must include details on transactions and settlements delivered.
  • If messaging enables digital wallet identification, they must use it for each transaction.
  • Effectiveness
  • Communication A 8162 will come into force for payments made as of Aug. 1, 2025.
  • For businesses classified as SMEs, it will come into force on Mar. 1, 2025.
