CSA Que published a proposed Regulation that make amendments to the Securities Regulation (Modernization of the Prospectus Filing Model for Investment Funds).
Draft Regulation
Amends the Securities Regulation (CSA Que Ch. V-1.1, r . 50) to require mutual fund to pay the fees payable when filing a fund facts document or an ETF facts document.
Mutual fund is also to provide for new fees payable when filing such documents.
Draft Regulation may be approved by the government, with or without amendment, after 45 days have elapsed since publication in the official gazette, i.e. Oct. 18, 2024.
Effectiveness
This Regulation will come into force on Feb. 27, 2025.
Consultation
Comments on the proposed regulation are due on or before Oct. 18, 2024.
