Legislative Provisions
No employer can utilize certificate from US DoL per 29 USC 214(c) to pay individuals with disabilities less than minimum wage required to be paid under federal law.
Employer issued certificate by US DoL on/before Jul. 1, 2025, may utilize certificate provided during Jul. 1, 2026-Jun. 30, 2027, pay at least half minimum wage required.
On, after Jul. 1, 2027, employer can no longer utilize such certificate to pay individuals with disabilities less than minimum wage required to be paid under federal law.
