VA LEG passed HB 14 / SB 381 on unemployment compensation; employer's failure to respond to requests for information, claim determination; and notice requirements
Employer's account shall not be relieved of charges relating to an erroneous payment.
If employer has failed to respond timely/adequately to written request for information re the claim, and employer established a pattern of failing to respond to such requests.
VA LEG shall provide written notice to employer of each such determination.
Repeated failures may result in employer paying civil penalties for each failure.er will be considered to have waived all rights in connection with such claim or claims.
