JPN FSA proposed revisions to Comprehensive guidelines for supervision of major banks, based on the Collective review plan for regulations in light of digital principles.
Plus, the Schedule for the review of analog regulations in light of digital principles.
Where an application for inspecting a report is received by email, the report will be promptly emailed; specify required information when applying for inspecting a report.
Applicants must fill in the prescribed items when applying for report inspection on-site.

Dec. 2024 Revisions Finalized
On Dec. 16, 2024, JPN FSA issued 22 public comments received and its response.
Explained that users could inspect a report attached to an email or through a file sharing service, the web service that allows sending and receiving files on Internet.
To apply for inspection, users can send an email describing necessary information or submit required information on an application form posted on the authorities' website.
The issue date, expiration date will not specified since the same documents kept by the authorities will be sent; there is no restriction on forwarding a file, but strictly refrain from editing, processing, misusing, providing to a third party, falsifying it.
The authorities will not verify the identity of applicants but in case of incomplete or unclear matters re applications, they may ask applicants to confirm details.
The revised supervisory guidelines will be implemented from Jan. 6, 2025.
