  • SBA reported help to Ohio businesses affected by drought that began Aug. 20, 2024.
  • Economic injury disaster loans (EIDLs) made available to help Ohio small businesses.
  • Follows SBA Aug. 2024 aid for entities affected by Aug. 13 drought, see #224057.
  • Eligibility
  • Primary counties of Athens, Belmont, Fairfield, Fayette, Gallia, Guernsey, Harrison, Highland, Hocking, Jackson, Jefferson, Madison, Monroe, Morgan, and Muskingum.
  • Also Noble, Perry, Pickaway, Pike, Ross, Vinton and Washington in Ohio with loans available adjacent counties as listed in Release 24-622 in Ohio and West Virginia.
  • EIDLs are available for small businesses, agricultural cooperatives, businesses engaged in aquaculture, and most private nonprofits for economic losses due to drought.
  • These loans may be used to pay fixed debts, payroll, accounts payable, and other bills that could have been paid had the disaster not occurred but not to replace lost profits.
  • Application Deadline
  • Completed EIDL loan applications must be submitted to SBA by Apr. 28, 2025.
