On Sep. 20, SBA made working capital loans available in Nebraska.
SBA reported five Nebraska counties, neighboring counties in South Dakota and Wyoming are eligible to apply for low interest federal disaster loans, due to drought.
Economic injury disaster loans (EIDLs) offset economic losses because of reduced revenues caused by drought that began Jul. 23 in the eligible designated counties.
Eligibility
Counties that are eligible for EIDLs include primary Nebraska counties of Dawes and Sioux and neighboring Nebraska counties of Box Butte, Scotts Bluff and Sheridan.
Includes neighboring SD counties of Fall River, Oglala Lakota; Goshen, Niobrara in WY.
Small businesses, small agricultural cooperatives, small businesses engaged in aquaculture, most private nonprofits may be eligible for loans up to $2 million dollars.
Eligibility for EIDLs is based on the financial impact of the disaster only, not damage.
Application Deadline
Completed loan applications must be submitted to SBA no later than May 16, 2025.
