SBA made Economic injury disaster loans (EIDLs) working capital loans available to small businesses in West Virginia due to drought that began on Sep. 10, 2024.
Eligibility
Loans are available in primary counties of Mingo, Raleigh, Summers, and Wyoming; adjacent counties of Boone, Fayette, Greenbrier, Kanawha, Lincoln, Logan, McDowell, Mercer, Monroe, Wayne in WV; Martin and Pike in KNY; Buchanan and Giles in VA.
Available to small businesses, agricultural cooperatives, businesses engaged in aquaculture, and most private nonprofits with economic losses due to drought.
These working capital loans may be used to pay fixed debts, payroll, accounts payable, and other bills that could have been paid by victims had the disaster not occurred.
Loan available up to $2mn; amounts and terms based on applicant's financial condition
Application Deadline
Completed EIDL applications must be submitted to SBA no later than May 16, 2025.
