  • SBA made Economic injury disaster loans (EIDLs) working capital loans available to small businesses in West Virginia due to drought that began on Sep. 10, 2024.
  • Eligibility
  • Loans are available in primary counties of Mingo, Raleigh, Summers, and Wyoming; adjacent counties of Boone, Fayette, Greenbrier, Kanawha, Lincoln, Logan, McDowell, Mercer, Monroe, Wayne in WV; Martin and Pike in KNY; Buchanan and Giles in VA.
  • Available to small businesses, agricultural cooperatives, businesses engaged in aquaculture, and most private nonprofits with economic losses due to drought.
  • These working capital loans may be used to pay fixed debts, payroll, accounts payable, and other bills that could have been paid by victims had the disaster not occurred.
  • Loan available up to $2mn; amounts and terms based on applicant's financial condition
  • Application Deadline
  • Completed EIDL applications must be submitted to SBA no later than May 16, 2025.
