WIS INS issued a bulletin reporting the implementation of NAIC tax tool, OPTins.
OPTins
WIS INS implemented OPTins, a product of NAIC, which must be used by companies filing and paying Wisconsin premium taxes, fire department dues, and fees.
Insurer must establish an OPTins account so it can make its tax payments via OPTins.
Important to register early as setting up a new account takes 7-10 business days.
Effectiveness
OPTins must be used first 2025 quarterly estimated tax payment due Apr. 15, 2025.
