On Aug. 7, SBA made disaster aid available to MT small businesses.
SBA made Economic injury disaster loans (EIDLs) available to Montana small businesses to offset losses caused by drought that began on Jun. 1, 2024.
Eligibility
Primary MT counties Beaverhead, Deer Lodge, Flathead, Jefferson, Lake, Madison, Ravalli and Silver Bow; neighboring MT counties include Broadwater, Gallatin,
Glacier, Granite, Lewis and Clark, Lincoln, Missoula, Pondera, Powell, Sanders and Teton; and Idaho neighboring counties of Clark, Fremont, Idaho and Lemhi.
Small nonfarm businesses, agricultural cooperatives, businesses engaged in aquaculture and most private nonprofits may qualify for EIDLs up to $2 million.
EIDLs are intended to help meet financial obligations and operating expenses which could have been met by the impacted businesses had the disaster not occurred.
Eligibility for EIDLs is based on financial impact only and not actual property damage.
Application Deadline
Completed applications for EIDLs must be received by SBA no later than Apr. 7, 2025.
