SBA Ohio Businesses Drought Loan Aid

On Sep. 20, SBA reported disaster loan availability for OH businesses.

  • SBA reported economic injury disaster loans (EIDLs) available to OH small businesses.
  • Due to losses because of reduced revenues caused by drought that began Sep. 10.
  • Follows SBA Sep. 2024 disaster loans due to drought beginning Aug. 20, see #224967.
  • Eligibility
  • EIDLs are eligible for Ohio counties Lawrence and Licking, Coshocton, Delaware, Fairfield, Franklin, Gallia, Jackson, Knox, Muskingum, Perry and Scioto.
  • As well as Boyd and Greenup in Kentucky; and Cabell and Wayne in West Virginia.
  • For eligible farm-related and nonfarm-related entities that suffered financial losses.
  • Apart from aquaculture enterprises, SBA cannot provide disaster loans to agricultural producers, farmers, and ranchers; nurseries are eligible to apply for economic injury.
  • Application Due Date
  • The deadline to apply for economic injury is May 16, 2025.
