Follows May 2024, HUN CB issued FAQ regarding crypto assets, providers #211300.
Crypto-asset Providers
Decree issued in terms of Act VII of 2024 on the marketing of crypto-assets.
Includes provision that crypto-asset service provider checks compliance with the qualification requirements and professional practice and experience.
In relation to the person in a legal relationship before carrying out consulting and information provision activities related to crypto-assets, and in the case of establishing a new legal relationship, before the start of the legal relationship.
Effectiveness
Decree enters into force on eighth day after promulgation, on Oct. 25 2024.
