On Nov. 19, WAS DoL issued final rule on workers' comp incentives.
WAS DoL adopted requirements of HB 1927, substitute HB 2127, on workers' comp incentives to return to work, pursuant to WAS LEG 296-16 and WAS LEG 296-16A.

Final Rule
Increases maximum amounts an employer may be reimbursed by Stay at work program and Preferred worker program; provide financial incentives to employers.
When they help injured workers return to approved work within their restrictions.
For a worker with date of injury on, after Jan. 1, 2025, WAS DoL removed requirement for approval of job descriptions by the injured worker’s health care provider.
Maximum wage reimbursement period per claim increased from 66 days to 120 days.
Maximum wage subsidy per claim increased from $10k to $25k, maximum reimbursement for clothing from $400 to $1,000, tools from $2,500 to $5,000.
Rulemaking also implements HB 1927, regarding reducing the number of days of time-loss required to qualify for preferred worker certification from 14 to 7 days.
