RUS Tax approved a new form of VAT declaration, the procedure for filling it out and the formats for submitting it in electronic form to be used starting from Q1 2025.
Key Points
The changes are due to the entry into force of a number of laws, which introduce new VAT rates were and now the VAT declaration form includes VAT rates of 5% and 7%, 5/105% and 7/107% which are used by taxpayers on the simplified tax system.
However, it can only be used if the taxpayers income does not exceed 60mn RUB.
In addition, the newly introduced form includes VAT rates of 9.09 and 16.67%, which are used by Russian marketplaces when selling EAEU goods to individuals locally.
Also, the list of VAT-exempt transactions was supplemented with new tax benefits.
For example, it includes digital currency mining operations and transactions with it.
Effectiveness
The new form will be used for reporting on Q1 2025 declaration and RUS Tax noted that the VAT return for Q4 2024 must be submitted in the form currently in force.
