On Mar. 21, RUS TEL proposed critical information infrastructure bill.

  • RUS TEL announced that RUS GVT proposed bill 581689-8 on amendments to law on the Security of Critical Information Infrastructure (CII) of the Russian Federation.
  • Proposals
  • The bill provides RUS GVT the authority to determine for each industry the types of information systems that will need to be classified as significant CII objects.
  • For such facilities, CII will set deadlines for the transition to Russian products.
  • They will be related to the readiness of domestic solutions, as well as the transition itself and compliance with deadlines will be controlled by industry departments.
  • The bill will make it possible to establish for each industry a unique list of facilities where the use of Russian software and radio-electronic products will be mandatory.
  • The performance of payment systems, communication services, transport, housing and communal services and more directly depends on the stable functioning of CII.
