On Mar. 21, RUS TEL proposed critical information infrastructure bill.
RUS TEL announced that RUS GVT proposed bill 581689-8 on amendments to law on the Security of Critical Information Infrastructure (CII) of the Russian Federation.
Proposals
The bill provides RUS GVT the authority to determine for each industry the types of information systems that will need to be classified as significant CII objects.
For such facilities, CII will set deadlines for the transition to Russian products.
They will be related to the readiness of domestic solutions, as well as the transition itself and compliance with deadlines will be controlled by industry departments.
The bill will make it possible to establish for each industry a unique list of facilities where the use of Russian software and radio-electronic products will be mandatory.
The performance of payment systems, communication services, transport, housing and communal services and more directly depends on the stable functioning of CII.
