SBA reported that Economic injury disaster loans (EIDLs) are available in SC due to drought conditions that began in Jul. 9, 2024, for small businesses, private nonprofits.
Eligibility
Primary SC counties of Clarendon, Darlington, Florence, Horry, Lee, Marion, Sumter and Williamsburg, and contiguous counties of Berkeley, Calhoun, Chesterfield, Dillon.
Also Georgetown, Kershaw, Marlboro, Orangeburg and Richland in South Carolina.
Additional counties include Brunswick, Columbus and Robeson counties in NC.
EIDL loans are available for eligible farm-related and nonfarm-related entities that suffered financial losses due to disaster, nurseries are also eligible to apply for EIDLs.
Agricultural producers, farmers, ranchers are not eligible to apply for EIDL assistance.
Loans of up to $2mn based on size of the applicant, type of activity and its financial resources, which can be used to pay fixed debts, payroll, accounts payable, other bills.
Application Deadlines
Completed loan applications to SBA must be submitted no later than Mar. 17, 2025.
