To hold Mexico, Canada, and China accountable to promises to halt illegal immigration and stop poisonous fentanyl and other drugs from flowing into the United States.
Chinese officials failed to stem the flow of precursor chemicals to known criminal cartels and shut down money laundering by transnational criminal organizations.
Canada failed to do more to arrest, seize, detain, otherwise intercept drug trafficking organizations, other drug and human traffickers, criminals at large, and drugs.
Mexican drug trafficking organizations have intolerable alliance with their government.
Presence of Mexican cartels operating fentanyl and nitazene synthesis labs in Canada.
Tariffs have proven to be powerful source of leverage for protecting national interest.
