On Mar. 28, IND BSE issued measures to expand QSB framework.
IND BSE, IND NSE jointly issued a press release on revised list of designated qualified stock brokers (QSBs), and encouraged brokers to apply for voluntary designation.
Listed the parameters that were considered for designating a stock broker as QSB.
Stock brokers who have not qualified to become QSB by virtue of the listed parameters may apply to the exchanges for voluntary designation as QSB, latest by Apr. 30, 2025.
QSBs are required to meet enhanced obligations, discharge additional responsibilities.
