On Oct. 20, NLD DNB issued insurer and pension transition reporting confirmation.
NLD DNB said that life insurers and premium pension institutions (PPIs) must submit the transition report to NLD DNB by no later than Nov. 16, 2026.
Follows NLD DNB Jun. 2026 detailed insurer and pension transition reporting, see #300658.
Overview
Survey covers life insurers and PPIs with second-pillar pension products in portfolio.
NLD DNB seeks to gauge how quickly life insurers and PPIs are moving existing pension agreements into arrangements meeting Future Pensions Act (Wtp).
Employers, with advisors and pension administrators, have until the transition period ends to bring existing agreements in line with Wtp.
Waiting to convert or adjust many agreements risks a pile-up near the end of the transition period.
The report is partly meant to prevent this.
Next Steps
NLD DNB will use findings to plan and structure Wtp supervision; once responses are analyzed, the regulator will then publish a sectoral developments update.
NLD DNB may discuss implications of new regulations with firms individually and roundtable meetings on key outcomes are possible.
Effectiveness
Reports may be submitted to NLD DNB from Oct. 20, 2026.
Relevant pension providers must submit reports by Nov. 16, 2026 at the latest; a link to the template has been provided.
