Bill Provisions
Amends Probate Act of 1975 to provide for the appointment of a successor guardian.
Notices of time/place of hearing on petition for appointment of a successor guardian.
Shall be given not less than 3 days before hearing for successor to temporary guardian and not less than 14 days before hearing for successor to limited/plenary guardian.
Notice shall be by mail or in person to the alleged person with a disability, to the proposed successor guardian, and to persons listed in the petition for adjudication.
Allows the court, upon a finding of good cause, to waive the notice requirement.
