Bill Provisions
Amends TX INS 6-C-843-I by adding Sec 843.322, and TX INS 8-D-1301-A by adding Sec 1301.0047, both provisions on incentives to use certain physicians/providers.
Amends TX INS 8-D-1301.0045(a) to prohibit certain sections from being construed to limit the level of reimbursement or coverage e, including deductibles, copayments, coinsurance, or other cost-sharing provisions, applicable to preferred providers.
Or, for plans other than exclusive provider benefit plans, nonpreferred providers.
Amend TX INS 8-F-1460.003 to allow issuer to rank physicians based on performance, if the standards used for ranking are developed by organization approved by TX INS.
