Main Points
Under circular E.2006/2025 and directive O.3005/2025, GRE AADE centralized customs control and added new digital functionalities to ICISnet to digitally upgrade them.
The 53 Customs Offices of Attica, Central Greece, Western Greece, Peloponnese, Crete and the Aegean islands will be included in the centralized document audit functions.
Which will be carried out by the Customs Audit Center of Attica; the other Northern Greece's offices will be included in the functions via the upcoming Thessaloniki Center.
Established mandatory digital submission of import declaration documents by traders.
The original documentation's form will be presented only if requested during checking.
New functionalities in the Excise Duty Declaration and import declaration at ICISnet include the supporting documents attached status and activation of a 30-minute timer.
Where additional information is required during control, the customs service shall communicate with traders, exclusively by means of messages, on the digital platform.
Effectiveness
The new functionalities enter into force on Feb. 24, 2025.
