The directive aims to make claims management more transparent, accountable, effective, and regulation-friendly, and to ensure policyholders receive real-time status updates on their claims.
All licensed insurers are required to develop and mandatorily implement a digital claims tracking system covering every step from claim notification by the insured to final settlement payment.
Effectiveness
Insurers must prepare and implement the system within three months of decision date Jul. 23, 2026, i.e., by Oct. 23, 2026.
