On Jan. 18, POL FO extended temporary protection for Ukrainians.
POL FO extended the temporary protection mechanism activated by EU council decision in Mar. 2022, initially for one year, for another year until Mar. 4, 2025.
Foreigners who are not covered by the Act on assistance to citizens of Ukraine in connection with armed conflict on the territory of that country, but belong to the category of displaced persons, may benefit from temporary protection in Poland.
Persons who have received a certificate of temporary protection from the Office for Foreigners with an expiry date of Mar. 4, 2023, Sep. 4, 2023, or Mar. 4, 2024, are not required to apply for new documents; certificates will remain valid until Mar. 4, 2025.
Certificates can continue to be used as residence permits confirming their legal status.
