SBA, NY LEG Governor Hochul reported federal assistance is available for Bronxites affected by the Jan. 10 apartment building fire, which significantly damaged 98 units.
Eligibility
Homeowners, renters and businesses are now eligible to apply for SBA low-interest loans to aid in recovery from effects of the fires that resulted in significant damage.
Loans are available for Physical damage and Economic injury disaster loans (EIDLs).
Application Deadline
The filing deadline to return applications for physical property damage is May 12, 2025; the deadline to return economic injury loan applications is Dec. 15, 2025.
