CAY CIMA advised that the requirement to complete and submit an AML Return will be extended to Restricted Trust Companies (RTCs) and Private Trust Companies (PTCs).
AML Reporting
Requirement is part of risk-based supervisory approach to AML/CFT/CPF and supports its supervision of fiduciary sector via collection and assessment of entity-level data.
AML Return will be available through the CAY CIMA's Strix software and distributed to the relevant contacts associated with each RTC and PTC, who must ensure accuracy.
Following the initial reporting, RTCs and PTCs will be incorporated into the existing AML Return submission cycle applicable to Trust and Corporate Services Providers sector.
Subsequent AML Returns be issued on Jun. 1 of each year, unless otherwise advised.
Failure to provide the requested information may amount to a criminal offense and/or result in administrative fine of up to $1mn for corporate body or $100k for individual.
Relevant Dates
Initial AML Return will be issued to RTCs and PTCs on Nov. 1, 2026, requiring entities to provide information as at Dec. 31, 2025, and AML Return due by Dec. 31, 2026.
