SBA stated small nonfarm businesses in five Montana counties and a neighboring county in Wyoming are now eligible to apply for low interest federal disaster loans.
Economic injury disaster loans (EIDLs) are working capital loans available to small businesses in MT due to reduced revenues caused by drought beginning Sep. 17.
Eligibility
Loans are available in primary county of Powder River, neighboring MT counties of Big Horn, Carter, Custer, Rosebud; neighboring WY counties of Campbell, Crook, Sheridan.
Available to small businesses, agricultural cooperatives, businesses engaged in aquaculture, and most private nonprofits with economic losses due to drought.
EIDLS of up to $2 million can assist in meeting financial obligations and operating expenses, which otherwise could have been met had the drought not occurred.
Application Deadline
Completed EIDL applications must be submitted to SBA no later than May 23, 2025.
