POL GVT issued announcement of Mar. 6, 2025 announcing the uniform text of the Act on compulsory insurance, insurance guarantee fund, Polish motor insurers' bureau.
Follows POL GVT Dec. 2022, proposed amending compulsory insurance, see #156953.
Summary
Issued pursuant to Act of Jul. 20, 2000 on publication of normative and certain other legal acts (OG Poz 1461, 2019); the consolidated text of Act of May 22, 2003 on compulsory insurance, the insurance guarantee fund and Polish motor insurers' bureau (OG Poz 2500, 2023), which are published in an annex to the announcement.
Includes: Act of Sep. 13, 2024 amending Act on compulsory insurance, guarantee fund, Polish motor insurer bureau, Act on insurance/reinsurance activity OG Poz 1565.
Plus: Act of Dec. 20, 2024 on credit servicers and credit purchasers, OG 146, 2025, and amendments resulting from the regulations published before Feb. 21, 2025.
Effectiveness
The Acts enter into force 14 days after the date of publication, i.e. on Apr. 7, 2025.
Exceptions are various articles which are in force on: date following publication, i.e. on Mar. 25, 2025; two months after publication, i.e. on May, 24, 2025; Jul. 24, 2025.
