LUX GVT extended temporary protection status for Ukrainian citizens until Mar. 4, 2025.

Overview
In response to Russian invasion of Ukraine, Luxembourg, as did all EU member states, applied temporary protection mechanism for people fleeing Ukraine starting Mar. 2022.
The mechanism, initially applicable for period of 12 months from its activation, later extended until 4 Mar. 2024, has been further extended by a year until Mar. 4, 2025.
Renewal
Certificates issued to beneficiaries of temporary protection as proof of status must be renewed by following the renewal procedure which was detailed in letter sent to them.
Immigration Directorate at Ministry of Home Affairs called on those who have not yet taken necessary steps to renew their certificate by following instructions as per letter.
Those who have not received letter must contact Immigration Directorate via email.
Extension of certificate before Mar. 4, 2024, necessary for persons concerned to continue to benefit from rights associated with temporary protection, such as right to remain in Luxembourg, right to work, right to material assistance from LUX GVT.
