JER CoC reported that the 2025 data protection registration renewal window is open.
Obligations for Renewal
Registrations must be renewed annually, and failure to renew registration and pay the annual charge (unless exempt) by this deadline will result in the registration expiring.
JER CoC advise that failure to renew risks persons being removed from the register.
In relation to data protection, JER CoC provide a self-assessment tool for small business owners and sole traders to assess compliance with data protection law.
Effectiveness
Renewal and annual charge payment (unless exempt) must be made by Feb. 28, 2025.
