On Dec. 17, ILL LEG reminded workers of minimum wage increase.
ILL LEG issued reminder to workers of Illinois minimum wage increasing on Jan. 1 from $14 per hour to $15 per hour, for tipped workers to $9 per hours, and youth $13.
This is the seventh and final increase in the wage included in legislation signed by Governor Pritzker in 2019, scheduling increases to the $15 per hour minimum in 2025.
Workers in Chicago must be paid at a higher rate, depending on the size of employer.
