May 7, 2025 BER BMA Third Edition
On May 7, 2025, BER BMA published the third edition of the Coordinated portfolio investment survey guide; notes and definitions; Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs).
The third edition was prepared to assist economies that participate in the CPIS.
This edition reflects adoption of Balance of Payments and International Investment Position Manual (BPM6) as standard for compiling cross-border position statistics.
Also, provides key definitions and additional information about the CPIS database.
FAQs, such as What is CPIS?, Are foreign direct investment positions in CPIS?, Are loans in the CPIS?, Are reserve assets in the CPIS and how?, among other questions.
